Superintendent's Message

Hello Mendota Unified Community,

I am truly excited to continue to work alongside you in providing our students with a quality education and a variety of extracurricular opportunities all while ensuring that safety remains our top priority.

We have made much progress with our district goals of increasing student achievement, providing safe schools with many opportunities for involvement, and developing and growing a professional learning culture. Our students are being exposed to a variety of wonderful learning opportunities, which keep increasing year after year.  Additionally, we will continue to provide tailored professional learning opportunities to meet the needs of our staff and to help further implement our goals.  Special emphasis will be placed on social and emotional learning (SEL), which focuses on responsible decision making, resiliency, developing healthy relationships, and empathy.

Our District has also made great strides in modernizing and expanding our facilities. In recent years, we built a preschool site, have modernized Washington Elementary School and Alternative Education School. Additionally, we have added classrooms at Mendota Jr. High School and Mendota High. We are also currently in Phase III of McCabe Elementary School and are developing plans to add more facilities at Mendota High School.

We have expanded our academic and extra-curricular offerings at all school sites and we will continue to refine our practices to ensure that our students are provided with all of the resources that they need to achieve their best success.

Hola Comunidad Unificada de Mendota,

Me da mucho gusto continuar trabajando junto a ustedes para brindarles a nuestros estudiantes una educación de calidad y una variedad de oportunidades extracurriculares, al mismo tiempo enfocamos que la seguridad siga siendo nuestra principal prioridad.

Hemos progresado mucho con las metas de nuestro distrito de aumentar el rendimiento de los estudiantes, brindar escuelas seguras con muchas oportunidades para participar y desarrollar y hacer crecer una cultura de aprendizaje profesional. Nuestros estudiantes están expuestos a una variedad de maravillosas oportunidades de aprendizaje, que siguen aumentando año tras año. Además, continuaremos brindando oportunidades de aprendizaje profesional personalizadas para satisfacer las necesidades de nuestro personal y ayudar a implementar aún más nuestras metas. Se hará especial hincapié en el aprendizaje social y emocional (SEL), que se centra en la toma de decisiones responsables, la resiliencia, el desarrollo de relaciones saludables y la empatía.

Nuestro Distrito también ha hecho grandes avances en la modernización y expansión de nuestras instalaciones. En los últimos años, construimos un sitio preescolar, modernizamos la Escuela Primaria Washington y la Escuela de Educación Alternativa. Además, hemos agregado salones de clases en Mendota Jr. High School y Mendota High. Actualmente también estamos en la Fase III de la Escuela Primaria McCabe y estamos desarrollando planes para agregar más instalaciones en la Escuela Secundaria Mendota.

Hemos ampliado nuestras ofertas académicas y extracurriculares en todas las escuelas y continuaremos refinando nuestras prácticas para garantizar que nuestros estudiantes reciban todos los recursos que necesitan para lograr su mejor éxito.

Sigamos trabajando juntos para garantizar que nuestro distrito escolar continúe brindando una excelente experiencia educativa a todos los estudiantes.
